Namaste, How does your garden grow? This line from a well known nursery rhyme is really resonating with me this week. I love gardens and have really enjoyed my visits to gardens this year including Stourhead, National Trust and Longstock water gardens. This week also sees the first RHS Chelsea return after a years break and a delay till September. One of the amazing things often said about gardens is how they can help those who are ill recover and this is the inspiration behind the Florence Nightingale Garden. Florence Nightingale not only had a pressed flower collection but helped design hospital wards to include nature to help patients convalesce, as looking out at or walking in a garden, was often felt to help. I have been suffering from a cold and feeling a bit under the weather but relaxing in the garden yesterday certainly helped me restore and nurture my own garden!!
