About Our Classes

Namaste & Welcome to Lym Yoga.

 

At LymYoga classes are of a slower pace, using hatha yoga principals and poses.

​

Sometimes these are combined into a slow vinyasa flow yoga to help mobility of joints, strength, flexibility and relaxation. 

​

Our classes are set to gentle relaxing music and are suitable for all abilities, with a short relaxation at the end of each session. We pride ourselves on being friendly and welcoming, give yourself permission to make time for yourself.

When I started yoga I did it for fitness, flexibility and strength but I soon realised yoga is about so much more. I have been amazed at the healing and coping ability yoga can provide to ease the path through difficult periods in your life.

This led me to want to teach yoga. I qualified as an Associate Teacher - Level 1 with Laura Green Yoga (www.lauragreenyoga.co.uk) to obtain the 200 Hour yoga alliance hatha qualification (www.yogaalliance.co.uk) in November 2018.

I see so many people feeling, stressed, pressurised and lacking self - confidence, Yoga can help to relax, to focus on breathing, to take away competitiveness and judgement of others; it allows you to re-centre on the most important person, yourself.

​

Teaching Yoga part time alongside part time Secondary Science Teaching. I find both combine well and often cross over on the mat and in the classroom. Yoga fills the gaps that Science sometimes has no answers for. I am very lucky to love doing both.

​

To link my Secondary Science Teaching and Yoga Teaching further I have enrolled on a Teen Yoga Foundation course to give me the skills and qualifications to teach yoga to teenagers including a
Level 3 Sports Coaching qualification.

I run regular classes both in person and online, and am available for one to one tuition it would be great to hear from you and see you on the mat.

You should avoid alcohol and drugs before practice. Also no heavy meals for two hours before workout. Keep yourself hydrated before during and after your yoga practice.


We do not recommend that you attempt any of these poses or yoga excercises without suitable experience and supervision. We offer no medical advice and you should consult a medical practicioner before attempting any excercise and particularly yoga, to ensure that you do not injure yourself. This is particularly important if you are overweight, pregnant, nursing, regularly taking medications, or have any existing medical conditions.
